According to the Bible, man's life span is 70 years.    However, this does not apply to Comrade R.G. Mugabe.    Mugabe is like red wine, he gets better and stronger with age. The reason is found in the book of Proverbs 16v31. On the 21st of February, Zimbabweans celebrated Mugabe's 89th birthday in almost the same manner as Christians celebrate Christmas.

Mugabe is the true son of the soil, a legend and the greatest thing ever to happen to Africa.

Zambia's president, Rupiah Banda, once hailed Mugabe as the greatest leader ever.

Through Mugabe, Zimbabwe has contributed immensely to the development of Africa.

When war erupted in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and Mozambique, we deployed our troops to restore peace and order.

Zimbabwe has also contributed towards the liberation of Namibia and South Africa, the 2010 World Cup hosting nation.

Africa's icons, including Zambia's President, Rupiah Banda and the former ANC President and Alfred Nobel Peace Prize laureate, Chief Albert Luthuli, were born in Zimbabwe, the Olympics gold medalist Christie Coventry and actress Thandie Newton are from Zimbabwe.

May I take this opportunity to warn Mugabe's critics:    It is un-African and unbiblical to criticise a leader and an elder. Scripture references: Romans 13vl-5, Hebrews 13vl7, Titus 3vl and 1 Timothy 5vl.

Where are Mugabe's critics like George Bush, Tony Blair, Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu and Pius Ncube?

Another staunch critic of Mugabe, Jonathan Shapiro, aka Zapiro is facing a legal suit of R7 million from President Jacob Zuma.

The Bible has two object lessons about people who criticised leaders and were punished.

In Samuel 6v23, Michal became barren after criticising King David, Miriam fell sick after criticising Moses, Numbers 12v 10.   I hope Loose Cannon will read this.

As for Rejoice Ngwenya (Guardian dated 5/2/2010 Pg. 12-13) If Mugabe made people beggars, how many indigenous Zimbabweans owned farms, laptops, decoders, satellite dishes and Pajeros before Mugabe came to power?

Zimbabwe, like any other country, has its share of problems, however the problems in Zimbabwe are a direct result of illegal and inhumane sanctions imposed by the West.

We are not perturbed by negative comments from people like Banks Ndebele, Eddie Mdluli, Hloniphani Chengeta and Tanonoka Whande, these are prodigal sons who will one day return home; we will hug and embrace them.

BOCIZCOZ members are unpatriotic; surely Africa can do a lot better without BOCIZCOZ.

Zimbabwe will never be a colony again.

Another self deluded Pastor. The irony is of course that while you sit comfortably in the house paid for you by your congregation, your compatriots bear the brunt of your dear leader's 3 decade (mis)rule. If, perhaps, your article is written in a satirical manner, then I must apologize and recommend that you stop wasting your time as a pastor and switch to television. Wit such as yours is a rare talent.

As a so-called Pastor, you are such a disgrace and insult to the very essence of being a pastor and christianity . How dare you have the nerve to write such an article..... did you write it dressed up in that white collar or you took it off and said a prayer of forgiveness before you wrote this nonsense of yours ??

Get real and just go get a life ...... such people like you who are losers and opportunists at the same time end up behaving the way you are doing. BOOTLICKER !!! smilies/angry.gif

Pastor it looks like you are getting paid for supporting Mugabe. Are you a real pastor? How can you support a man who stole another man's wife?According to the bible that you claim to know, Mugabe is comitting adultery because he married another man's wife. You are not a christian you claim to be.Otherwise you are leaving in Botswana pretending to be a pastor. You need to be investigated seriously.

To make things worse this pastor, con, crook or bootlicker is writting from Gaborone instead of some Zim village or Town. Go back to Zimbabwe pastor and may be you will know what you are talking about. A full stomach can really mislead at times

Don't waste our time Pastor telling us about the Zimbabwean president by self proclamation. We are to respect our leaders when they respect us as human beings with the freedom to choose what they like. Mugabe imposed himself on people so who will respect him now. I think God is aware and will punish noone for an unchosen leader.

Hey, Pastor Chimombe, relax! Nobody is trying to recolonise Zimbabwe. I don't see why you have to write an article dishing out threats that Mugabe's critics will "become barren... and fall sick." Is this really the best you can do? But then again I'm not surprised. You are a Pastor and soon enough you will threaten me with hell. Save your threats!

Just on your opening line about the bible saying a man's life span is 70 years; are we really to take this seriously? I looked it up and that's in Genesis 5:12 about Kenan, and Genesis 11:26 about Terah. As you well know, the bible says a lot of things. Why didn't you choose Genesis 9:29 about Noah who lived to 950 years. Or Genesis 5:20 about Jared who lived to 962 years? Or Genesis 5:27 about Methuselah who died when 969 years old?

The fact remains that Mugabe is President of Zimbabwe. Every president (at least the real leaders) should expect some countless forms of criticism. Sure there are certain things he got right and should be praised for. Equally there are things he got horribly wrong and should be criticised for. It is very childish to try and excuse yourself or others from criticism, and it disappoints that you even had the nerve to write this article in such a snobbish manner.

Mugabe was born in 1931, but his parents forgot his date of birth. He is in his late 70s. You have to be gullible to believe the old man is approaching ninety. Luckily, Komana can not be deceived!
