Moupo Has No Mandate PDF Print E-mail

Recently, the media have been reporting that Moupo and some of our leadership have been having secret meetings with the BCP asking that Party to cooperate with them.
One wonders whether comrade Moupo will ever live up to the reality that his leadership of the BNF is the worst thing that has ever befallen our Party. While most of us are calling for him to resign his post, he goes around seeking ways to save his political life after being humiliated by Maemo Bantsi in the primaries.
Moupo's secret meetings with the BCP are a direct betrayal of some of our comrades, especially those who have gone through the process of primaries in their constituencies. What is he saying now to them? Does he want them to start from scratch with the hope of finding some space back to parliament through some crafty Opposition cooperation schemes?
Previously, major decisions such as deciding to cooperate with other political parties were decided upon by the BNF masses at our conferences and congresses. It is now surprising that Moupo is leading some lost leaders in our movement to negotiate with the BCP without a mandate from the masses.
The BNF is not anyone's personal property and Moupo and Mohwasa should know that. If comrade Mohwasa is afraid of Gilson Saleshando, he should just quit the race like Ramaotwana has done at Gaborone Central. Moupo and his leadership have a lot to explain to us at our coming congress.
The struggle continues
